Kinesiology is a technique used to find and correct both physical and psychological imbalances. Often used for Allergy Testing. Food and substance sensitivity and intolerance can also be detected and corrected using this treatment. In addition there are also specific approaches to complex auto-immune deficiency problems and degenerative disease syndromes. Kinesiology uses muscle testing as a means of accessing the information which is stored in the body's complex memory bank. Gentle pressure is applied to a muscle and the response assessed. The response from the muscles via the central nervous system determines where the disturbances are. Simple corrections are made that reset the body's bio-control centre to restore the system to a better balance. This will improve organ function, stabilise blood pressure, rebalance sugar metabolism, normalise hormonal cycles and strengthen immune responses to viruses, bacteria and parasites. Muscle testing is increasingly being used in the fields of both complementary medicine and conventional medicine (eg osteopathy and dentistry).

Nutritional Therapy

Fees:
£60 First appt 60 mins
£30 Follow ups 30 mins

This therapy is based on a scientific, evidence-based understanding of nutrients and the human body. Many factors influence the nutritional requirements of each individual - age, sex, genetics, disease states, exposure to stress or pollution, to name a few. Many nutrients are lost from food before they reach our bodies due to processing and storage methods. Mineral deficiencies are of particular concern and studies show that the mineral content of the soil has declined substantially in the past 50 years due to modern intensive farming methods. The body cannot function well when nutrition is inadequate. Deficiencies initially cause fatigue and feeling 'under par'. If not corrected, they allow disease to take a hold and chronic health disorders may follow . An individually tailored nutrition programme is set up after assessing health status, objectives and priorities. This may include nutritional supplements and in some cases laboratory tests which can all be arranged through the clinic's nutritionist.

Apart from helping to control weight and increase energy levels and general well-being, nutritional therapy can help with a range of health issues. These include allergies and intolerances, digestive complaints such as IBS, constipation and bloating, asthma, hay fever, eczema and other skin complaints, arthritis, reduction in cardiovascular risk and high blood pressure. Nutrition can also be very helpful in balancing hormones and tackling fertility problems.
